Your Action Plan
What: Your goal is to learn and practice three drills that teach the difference between lifting/tilting and true body rotation in your golf swing.
Why: Proper torso and hip rotation is the key to sequencing your swing, generating effortless power, and preventing common golf injuries.
How:
- T-Spine Drill: Use a broomstick to improve the mobility of your upper back and learn to separate your torso from your hips.
- Wall Drill: Use a wall for instant feedback. Stand close to a wall and practice rotating your trail hip back to touch the wall behind you.
- Hip Rotation Drill: Use a piece of fabric or fringe to visually see your hip rotation. As your hips turn back and through, the fabric will move with them, showing real motion.
