The Power of Proper Rotation

Many golfers mistakenly lift their arms or tilt their upper body instead of rotating their torso and hips. Karen Palacios Jansen demonstrates three simple drills to help you train the proper rotation for a powerful and repeatable swing.

What: Your goal is to learn and practice three drills that teach the difference between lifting/tilting and true body rotation in your golf swing.

  • Hip Rotation Drill: Use a piece of fabric or fringe to visually see your hip rotation. As your hips turn back and through, the fabric will move with them, showing real motion.
