Chipping it Close from Around the Green

Trillium Rose demonstrates the club selection, setup and action required to get the ball up and down from short grass around the green.

What is a Tight Lie?

A tight lie is when the ball on a hard surface with very little grass between the ball and the ground. A tight lie can be tricky to play from because there is less margin for error with topped or chunky shots more likely. Tight lies occur more often on courses during the winter season. A tight lie may also be referred to as a “bare lie.”
