Having Trouble with your Fairway Woods

If you are struggling with making good contact with your fairway woods/metals, I recommend these three fundamental tips to help your game.

  • Ball position middle or only slightly forward
  • Manage your backswing so you’re not lifting up excessively. The up and down can lead to disasterville with one of the long sticks. It may feel like you’re shortening your swing.
  • Be sure to bring awareness to your footwork. Impossible to hit this club if you’re falling back on your trail foot. Push into your lead side to produce that solid strike.
