Be Aware of Your Trail Shoulder Position

Michele Low shows the importance of the trail shoulder position in the golf swing highlighting common faults, such as lack of rotation in the chest and incorrect elbow movement during the backswing.

Michele’s Main Points
Proper trail shoulder (right shoulder for right handers) position relies on chest rotation, not excessive movement.
Common faults include no chest rotation, lifting the right shoulder, and pulling the right elbow back.

Drills in Michele’s Lesson
Find the correct position, use the “Help Yourself Drill” and “Left Hand under Right Arm Drill” for the backswing.
For the downswing, use the “Club across Chest Drill” and “Touch the Wall Drill” to improve rotation and shoulder position.
