Shallow Your Swing to Hit Better Shots

If you struggle with an out-to-in move from the top of your swing Alison Curdt's drill will help you feel the right positions to get your shaft on plane resulting in better ball striking.

Definition: Shallowing the golf club in your swing means that you get the club to flatten out more horizontally on the way down. Most golfers instead, have an over the top, casting motion which leads a steeper plane on the downswing. This can produce fat shots, skinny shots, and big misses to the right (or left for left-handers).

Better Ball Striking with Body Tilts
Tilting your trail side too early can cause chunks, excessive in-to-out paths, and flippy shots. PGA and LPGA Master Professional Alison Curdt shows how to shallow the club in a more efficient way by maintaining body tilts.
