Where in the World Is this Amazing Course?

We get asked this a lot! The golf hole in this photo of Scotland’s Sally Watson is the magnificent 5th hole at New South Wales Golf Club.  Designed by Alister MacKenzie in 1926 in La Perouse, Sydney, NSW Golf Club was compared by the architect to Cypress Point in California and is currently ranked number 33 in Golf Digest’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses.

Incredibly, the par 5 5th in the photo which plays to 430 metres (470 yards) is not the most spectacular hole on the course. The very next hole, the par 3 6th which plays over the rocks and sea is NSWGC’s signature hole.
