Pick the Right Club for Pitching Over Bunkers

Here’s a great tip from Alison Curdt on the right club selection for pitching over a bunker and stopping the ball close to the flag.

Here’s a quick tip this to get you hitting over the bunkers with success. Make sure you select a club that has the correct loft to help you get up and over the bunker that will create enough spin to not roll across the green. Particularly when a flag is tucked right behind a bunker you want to use your highest lofted wedge to execute this pitch and get it to stop.

How to Play a Flighted Wedge Shot
Flighted wedge shots can be really helpful when you want to get close to the pin from a good lie. Here are some keys from Alison Curdt to get you started.
Chipping with a Lower Lofted Wedge
LPGA and PGA Master Professional Alison Curdt shows when you're just short of the green and not too far from the pin don't take a wedge and try to hit it really high. Hit something low and let it roll up to the hole.
