Your Action Plan
What: Your goal is to improve the accuracy of your drives by correcting four common swing faults: aiming, ball position, swing effort, and clubface contact.
Why: Being more accurate with your driver keeps you in play and sets you up for an easier second shot, lowering your scores and building confidence.
How:
- Check Your Aim: Use alignment sticks to ensure you are aiming square to your target, not compensating for a slice or hook.
- Perfect Your Ball Position: Use an alignment rod perpendicular to your feet to ensure the ball is in the correct spot every time.
- Control Your Swing Effort: Swing at what feels like 50% effort to improve your timing, tempo, and balance.
- Find the Center of the Face: Use face tape or powder spray to identify your strike pattern and use a noodle or headcover to correct your swing path.
