Your Action Plan
What: Your goal is to learn the meaning behind common golf terms to better understand your swing and what instructors are telling you.
Why: Understanding golf terminology helps you identify and correct swing faults more effectively, leading to improved technique and better results.
How:
- Swing Path: Understand that “over the top” means your club is swinging too far to the left, while “inside to out” means it’s swinging too far to the right.
- Weight Transfer: When you hear “weight forward” or “weight back,” remember this is always in relation to your target, not a general front or back motion.
- Grip Position: Know that “strong” and “weak” grips refer to the position of your top hand on the club, not how tightly you’re holding it.
