Janine Barney

Australian PGA Instructor Janine Barney played many sports with hockey being her chosen sport. After representing South East Queensland in Softball Janine went on to play field hockey for Queensland and Indoor Hockey for Australia in her 20’s before retiring to start a family. That’s when she became hooked on golf.

Janine's first handicap was 34 and it dropped 14 shots in the first year. When her handicap got down to scratch she decided to take her love of golf to the next level and complete a PGA Traineeship to become a qualified PGA Professional.

Janine Barney is passionate about helping women and girls learn and enjoy the game.  She is the Women’s Golf coordinator at her local club Windaroo Lakes and runs her very successful Golf Fore Women program which attracts up to 60 women each week.
