Try the Towel Drill for Better Connection in Your Golf Swing

Lucy Davies demonstrates the towel drill which can help you to establish a good connection between your arms and body in your swing.

You have probably seen lots of players practicing by hitting balls with a towel under their arms. I often use the towel drill for two reasons.

Firstly, the towel drill establishes a good connection between my arms and body. Doing this helps me turn properly and not get too ‘handsy’ or ‘armsy’.

The second reason is that the drill shortens my swing.

Try out the towel drill in your next practice session. It works best with short irons and remember to watch your swing plane lines while doing this drill because it’s easy to get too flat.
